— WHAT IS PRIVATE YOGA?

Private yoga is an individualized experience that allows you to focus on exactly what YOU need. Private yoga lessons offer students the ability to focus on personal interests, concerns or goals. Instead of following along with the yoga instructor in a class setting, a private lesson allows an individual to set specific goals and plans, such as personal goals for flexibility, strength or meditation.

— IS PRIVATE YOGA RIGHT FOR ME?

Private yoga is right for everyone, but there are specific reasons that make it even more worthwhile for some people than others. My clients come to me for private yoga for:

  • Injury management

  • Unique physical limitations (that make group yoga too unpredictable)

  • Beginner yoga lessons

  • Specific physical goals

  • Scheduling (private yoga is done on YOUR time)

— WHAT IS A PRIVATE YOGA SESSION LIKE?

Honestly, private yoga lessons are different from client to client. When I work with someone new, I spend the first few sessions assessing where they are at physically, mentally, and emotionally. As I get to know my clients, the sessions become even more tailored to their specific needs and goals. Some lessons will feel like you are being led through a full class. Others will work on strengthening you for specific skills. Some may include more meditation and pranayama (breath work), while others are particularly challenging physically.

I ask that you come to your sessions prepared with an open mind, a willingness to learn, and a desire to co-create an experience that will help you grow on (and off!) your yoga mat.
