YOGA EDUCATOR & MENTOR

I first discovered yoga on a blind date during my first year living in New York City, in 2012. While I never saw the guy again (nor do I recall his name), in that class, I recognized that this powerful practice was something I felt drawn to explore further. Yoga became a force for good in my life - helping me cope with my stressful day job, navigate the ups and downs of my twenties in New York City, and provided tools that helped me to feel empowered and confident during times of my life where I needed a boost. On the yoga mat, I felt connected, inspired, strong and embodied - I knew I wanted to spend as much time practicing as I possibly could.

As the years progressed, what had initially been a hobby turned into a way of life for me - and I knew that I wanted to explore yoga as a career path. I decided to do my 200 hour yoga teacher training at Pure Yoga, under the tutelage of Kay Kay Clivio, Adam Vitolo, and Yogi Charu. I went on to complete mentorships with Kiley Holliday and Brittany Anderson, and completed my 300 hour program in yoga therapy with Dana Slamp at Prema Yoga Institute. In 2024 I completed an additional 300 hour training with Susannah Barkataki, and now, I am proudly pursuing an education in sound healing under the tutelage of master sound healer Jessica Caplan.

My greatest goal as a yoga teacher is to give my students an experience that allows them to feel spiritually connected, emotionally inspired, physically challenged, and overall, like they can apply yoga’s teachings to their lives off the mat.

I believe firmly that "the way you do anything is the way you do everything", and so, the way we practice our yoga on the mat matters a great deal. In my class, students will explore unique transitions, advanced postures, fundamental alignment, mind and body connection, and yoga philosophy. Expect to develop strength, resiliency, self-trust, and definitely a sense of humor in my class!

Now, in addition to teaching privately, I teach at major yoga studios in NYC, while running two international yoga retreats each year. Travel the world with me on any of my upcoming yoga retreats!

“This practice is a metaphor. It allows us to see clearly our preferences, our tendencies, our habitual thought patterns, our motivations. We use this intelligence to grow and evolve into the beings that we yearn to be. We use this information to do better, not just for ourselves, but for everyone else in our lives. Our growth trickles off the mat and permeates anything and anyone we touch. This is why we practice. This is why we practice.”
